  • After lymph drainage, put on a few drops of essential oil to lighten and drain with a reassuring feeling of beneficial wellness.
  • Whenever you need to make sure that you are your own master, Cedar boosts your self-esteem like a lion.
  • A few drops of oil into your shampoo will give your hair strength, tonus (and a nice smell!)
  • Very efficient to get rid of moths. (see also Patchouli).
  • Bzzz – tic! Mosquito bite after an exotic night? Frenetic itch due to this flying witch? One drop of this very practical antihistamine-like oil on the P point and the urge to rub and scratch it will fade away instantly.

Cedar is a reigning king, a lion and it likes dominating the area where it grows. Almighty, it grows up as high as it is self-confident. It knows that it has no other equal but itself. Have a look at it, stretching out its branches inconsiderately. Its side branches, besides, are almost like trunks! They go up, then down and up again, not letting their weight get them down.

The essential oil is extracted from the wood and was already used by the Egyptians to preserve mummies and build their sarcophagus. Time has no impact on cedar! Its name comes from the Arabic word Kedron, which means strength. Temples in Babylon and Solomon's royal palace were made of cedar wood. That is why it was practically eradicated in this region (Lebanon cedar).

Hence, it sounds funny to have use-by dates for essential oils, doesn't it? Mummies were preserved from decay thanks to them, and even intact bottles of essential oil were found in the Pyramids! But yet, rules have to be followed and chemicals have to be sold. But that is another story. Celts, for example, used to use cedar wood resin to embalm their most respected and noble enemies' heads. Druids used to hold ceremonies in cedar groves which symbolised trust in their astrological system.
